Clarke County Public Health offers blood pressure screening and counseling for patients who may be at risk for or show early signs of hypertension (high blood pressure) and who are interested in understanding their health better. Patients receiving this service are encouraged to share their results with their primary care provider.
Based on the results, the nurse will counsel on risk factors and recommend lifestyle changes to help the patient lead a healthier life. Further testing and evaluation may be required. Elevated blood pressure can be monitored and managed by your primary care provider for further care.
